The Reference Entry

I decided this blog needed some kind of quick sum up of my life and the people in it. A fun way to do that (and keep me from going crazy bored at work) is to make this entry and then I’ll put a link to it on the sidebar.

Last update - July 2, 2007

Basic facts --
Name: Jessie
Birthday: July 13, 1982
Parents: K&B
Siblings: None. But I count the six Chipman kids.
Pets: currently- 2 birds, one cat, 2 dogs. My quaker parakeet Gunther passed away 2/20/07. Button is a single orange face lovebird, and Justarius. Justarius had an accident with his foot and it has to be removed so I'm keeping him. The cat is named Amelie. She’s a mix but she looks just like a Russian Blue or a Nebelung. My first dog is two years old and she's a papipoo (that’s a papillon mixed with a miniature poodle) named Pixel.
Marital status: divorced (again)
Kids: three please
Religion: Jehovah’s Witness, but I’m currently disfellowshipped and working towards reinstatement.
Tattoos/piercings: six in each ear and I have 6 tats so far. Pictures in my photoblog.
Favorite color: purple
Favorite number: 27

Other facts: I’m a huge sci-fi geek. I think Star Trek the Next Generation was one of the best television shows – ever. I’m a member of the 501st Legion. I love reading. I want to be a writer and some day own a book shop. I also breed lovebirds and would like to turn that into a more full time type job eventually. I consider the huge turning points in my life to be September 1996, around xmas 1997, September 7th, the week of new years’s 2000, June 2000, June 1st 2002, August 16 2004, and of course June 26 1999. Also August 20th since that is the day Seth and I randomly got married in Vegas. :)

Kari: friend from childhood. Lives in Washington now. in the navy. She’s a pilot.
Kirsty: friend I met through work. We became so close that she was going to be a bridesmaid in my wedding. We have lots in common.
Craig and Dawn:
friends from before I was disfellowshipped. They got married the week after Ray and I did. I hope to be friends with Dawn again someday.
John: ex fiancee
Ray: ex husband
Jacob and Brynn: I hate to even mention them on here, but sometimes they come up.
Jacob – ex boyfriend, broke my heart, was horrible to me.
Brynn – ex best friend. Now married to Jacob. Both are still Jehovah’s Witnesses in good standing.
Ericka: she goes along with the other two above, in a way. She is three years older than me and was like a sister to me. Kind of the leader of our little group of JWs. She just got married and had a baby girl. I'm so happy for her.

I suppose knowing about those turning points would be helpful too. I just get sick of wondering if I’ve mentioned something before and I hate to have to explain it again and again just for the purpose of writing a few sentences in an entry. So let’s be thorough then shall we? I had a journal on open diary. It was hacked into and two months of entries were lost last year. If it hadn’t been at such an important point I wouldn’t have cared so much. But I switched over to blogger after that happened and I thought maybe some of those OD entries would be helpful. So I’ll link them with the events they pertain to. I promise, most are short.

11/25/03, first 501st event -

September 1996 was when I started high school at Bay Path. This was a huge deal because it was such a change for me. I had gone to a small town school for grade school and then for seventh and eighth grade I went to a private school. So being thrust into a school with 1000+ kids and all sorts of cultures and backgrounds was really odd. I went to school my first day, school started back on a Wednesday, and I missed Thursday and Friday due to panic attacks. I hate new things. Anything new. The seasons change and I get a little nutty. But this was also the first time I was in a school where there were more than five Jehovah’s Witnesses so that was kind of cool. It was a huge turning point because of all the new experiences, new friends, and I really started to become a lot less shy.

The “around xmas” one is when I met Jacob. We dated for about a year and he totally broke my heart and was emotionally abusive. I truly feel that if we had stayed together he would have done a lot more damage to me than he did, maybe even physically. But that’s Jacob and he continued to mess with my head right up until the day he couldn’t talk to me anymore due to me being DF’d. Why did I let him, you might ask? He was unavoidable. Trust me.

September 7th – the day I saw Ray at the Spencer Faire. I met him before that. In fact he dated my best friend Sarah and then he dated Ericka. He was there to hit on Ericka again and I was there with a friend from high school hoping for a glimpse of Jacob. Ironic, isn’t it?

One of my favorite memories ever is of the week I spent in Michigan between Christmas of 1999 and New Year’s 2000. I stayed with my friend Casey and his parents. I went because Sarah and I had been planning on going together but when she got DFd I needed to get away from things for a while so Casey asked me to come stay with him. I will always remember that as such a peaceful time in my life, for the most part. Ray and I were taking “a break” from dating so I was pretty much on my own. I’d never been that far away from home before without my parents, but I think I probably emailed them and called them maybe three times the entire week. I spent some time with Casey’s best friend Chip out there too. He and I knew each other from them visiting Mass a year before and we’d spent quite a bit of time together then too. I really think that if Chip had wanted children Ray would have had some serious competition. But looking back I’m glad it didn’t turn out that way. I don’t think Chip and I would have been entirely happy together. Anyway, he’s married now to this really nice girl. And a few of the other guys I met out there are married too. They’re all lovely people and so welcoming and nice. I would go back there for a visit, but it would never be the same.

June 2000 was my graduation from high school. I just wrote about that in my “ten years ago” entry. The one that’s entitled “tag, you’re it”. it was a big point in my life becase Ray and I were still up in the air and hwo knew what could happen. The world was full of possibility. And parties. It was definitely full of parties that summer. : )

June 1, 2002 – my wedding day. I don’t think I need to state why this was an important date.

Memories. . . .

August 16, 2004 was the day I moved out of Ray’s apartment and in with John’s family. That was a pretty traumatic time but I mostly remember feeling very loved by John and his parents and getting a great deal of support (from most people) from our friends in the NEG. I don’t know what I would have done without them and Sarah.

To go back in time a bit, June 26, 1999 was my baptism date. That’s a pretty important thing especially when you’re a disfellowshipped one. I’ll never forget that date. It’s written in the front of my bible. It was a horrible day actually. Everything that could go wrong, did. But in the end I was baptized and I’d made my open dedication to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and that’s all that matters.

December 9, 2005 - the day I officially got engaged. We'd been planning the wedding for a few months (because it takes a long time to plan a wedding) and he asked me in the sweetest way. So there it is.

April 28, 2006 - the day I moved into my own apartment for the very first time and started my life anew.

June 18th and August 20th, 2006 - the day I met my husband in real life (we met on myspace) for the first time (also his parents' wedding anniversary), and august was the day we got married in Vegas on a whim.

That’s it for now. If I think of more important matters I’ll add them in here. Now to put a link on the sidebar. . .

Eh heh! I'm also df'd, but I'm putting in my letter for reinstatement on Friday. I've cleaned up my act, not living with anyone I shouldn't, and it's been almost five months. I doubt I'll be reinstated so quickly...but here's hoping...feel free to read my blog:)
Good luck.
Yay, look... I'm in your diary! lol

I'm 26 yrs old. I'm a total geek and I love being one of the few true girl geeks out there. I've traveled across the U.S. and lived in a few states. I've thoroughly enjoyed it and feel like my heart belongs on the west coast. I want to be a writer someday and own a bookshop. I also love photography and the arts. I was disfellowshipped for four years but just got reinstated and therefore am one of Jehovah's Witnesses again.
